Brand identity and creative asset development for Illuminate You - a workshop-based business helping women work smarter through every phase of their menstrual cycle, rooted in biology, neuroscience, and real female lived experience.
I partnered with Illuminate You to create a clean, premium and approachable brand identity that brought the founder's vision to life, supporting her workshops and helping her communicate her expertise with confidence.


The brief
The founder of Illuminate You needed help to bring her vision to life. She already had a strong understanding of how she wanted her brand to look and feel, and had spent a long time researching, planning, writing, and refining every part of the business before approaching me. By this stage, she had already written her workshop presentation, handouts, sales deck, and mapped out the full workshop flow - she just needed a visual identity that could bring everything together and make the brand feel real.
The challenge wasn't defining the business - it was expressing it visually. She needed a brand that felt scientific without becoming clinical, premium without feeling exclusive, feminine and approachable without losing credibility. Most importantly, the identity needed to reflect the warmth and empathy that sits at the heart of her workshops, while really wanting to work with someone who fully understood her vision and felt equally passionate about the subject matter.

The approach
To ensure the final identity felt fully aligned with both the client’s vision and the depth of work she had already developed, I began the project with a detailed brand questionnaire. Although the client had provided an incredibly thorough brief, this process helped uncover additional insights into her values, audience, positioning, and long-term goals, allowing me to build a more strategically grounded identity system.
One of the most important considerations was finding the right balance between science and humanity. The identity needed to communicate credibility and expertise while remaining warm, supportive and accessible to women navigating the full-on experiences of corporate life.
With this direction established, I developed a visual identity that reflected both the professionalism of the business and the compassion behind it. Using a refined palette of purples and nude tones, paired with clean typography and bespoke iconography, I developed a visual identity that balanced credibility with warmth and emotion, creating a brand that felt reassuring, trustworthy and distinctly different from the clinical visual language often associated with healthcare, placing this more on the health and wellbeing side.
Once the identity was established, it was rolled out across workshop materials, printed collateral and digital assets, creating a cohesive experience that supported every interaction with the brand.


The outcome
We worked closely throughout the project, with review calls at each major stage to ensure the identity continued to align with the client’s vision. The result was a cohesive brand identity that gave Illuminate You a confident and professional presence, while remaining true to the founder's vision and values.Because so much thought and strategy had gone into the foundations of the brand, the creative process remained incredibly aligned from the start. Seeing the client’s reaction of joy as the brand came to life visually really reinforced the value of building a strong strategic foundation before moving into design, and gave her the confidence to launch and communicate her work with clarity and consistency.
